they are about to go under and from  what i read they had pretty crappy service lots of buffering issues and bad picture quality,,, 

As for connectv.ca they are working with russian tv providers here in new york (Nashdom) an i am interested in seeing there service,, but as i call and try to find out any info on the company NashDom there really are no answers as to who really runs and owns the company,, there is NO tech support!! Also there is something about that you cannot watch tv and be on the internet at the same time. so i am not realy sure about them.

 

As for Kylintv they use a box called Nuelion and yes this is the BEST box out there i have seen it in action and this is a great service with great picture quality. Nuelion is a great company on the cutting edge of IPTV they have huge contracts like the NHL.  i have spoken to them and they are looking into providing more ethnic tv in the future. 

But i have also spoken to Getnextv and they are looking into Neulion's service and box . For now those of us that want German TV and Russian TV the only REAL answer is Getnextv!!!

 

TVguy why are you so down on them?? did you work for overseatv???  Seems to me that overseatv was useing the wave 300 box,, i never heard of anyone having a major problem with this box,, If you go to there website http://www.softier.com/wave_300.asp they look like a very good company.

 

 

 

 

Thank you for your reply. I was able  finaly to reach to live person and signed up for service. I have used upgrade software methode tha twas poseted on this forum to upgrade my Wave 300. I was given PIN and activated service without any issues. The only down side so far is that Channel ONE ( I subscribed to Russian pkg ) is not available within pkg. However during sign on process I inquired about it and was told that it is available. I will have to call them back to get clarification

lborov i will also be getting the russian package can you tell me what channels excatly are you getting?? i ask because i know that on the website it is not updated yet so i like to know what channels do you get?? Also how is picture quality for you?? did you have tvroyssia before?? if yes how do quality compare??

Well, I am not down to anyone, but I like the idea of IPTV and did my research in this market. I actually saw every company's solution and thus far and objectively connectv guys are above everyone, then KyLin, then ITVN, only then rest. What did you mean by not being able to watch tv and being on the internet at the same time? They offer you to access tv on both set top box AND internet, but you cannot watch at the same time. This works well for those who have the box at home, but then if they want to watch tv at any remote location then they login with their login and password to the web site and watch from there. Besides, they also offer all channels archived, all programs. Who else offers this? This is beyond TiVo and Sling.

Based on the channels list, I see many channels that cannot possibly be licensed. So Nextv are liars about their "licensed legal" channels. They are as gray as all the rest.

What is the basis of saying that "many channels cannot possibly be licensed"?  How do you know?

I've been tracking my box and it has been sitting at the Customs clearing agency for TWO DAYS. They are still waiting for an invoice comparison. I am supposed to have it tomorrow. What is the problem? With Overseatv it only took three days total and less for shipping.

What are the current German offerings? Will there be an online options also??

• Das Vierte

It does not appear that NexTV is offering any online options, only reception with a STB.

There is no way to acquire a license for broadcasting of RenTV, CTC, THT, Channel One Russia and few more. If you think you can get the license, try it. Hence, Nextv is no different than overseatv or any other gray market iptv provider.

I am an engineer by profession.  I deal with facts rather than beliefs or conjecture.

According to the BroadShift Inc. preliminary long form prospectus issued on Nov. 14, 2007 (available on www.sedar.com):

"Currently, all of the Company’s multicultural programming is offered under licence with Channel Partners, other than its Italian and German programming, which is non-licensed free-to-air programming."

"The following is a brief description of the Company’s multicultural channel packages which are currently available."

"Russian Programming
The Company’s Russian programming channel package currently includes 16 general entertainment and specialty channels. Leading Russian licensed free-to-air terrestrial channels available in this package include Channel One (one of Russia’s most highly rated TV channels), RTR-Sport, TV Centr, NTV and STS."

While it is recognized in the above that both German and Italian programming was not licensed by BroadShift Inc., according to this document, BroadShift Inc. dba OverseaTV did license the Russian programming.

Therefore again in the absence of any further proof from you, I fail to see the basis of your accusatory statement about NexTV not licensing their content

I just want to know how do you know that there is " NO WAY acquire a license for broadcasting of RenTV, CTC, THT, Channel One Russia"???? What qualify's you to make a statement like that??

Gotta strong feeling you work for one of the other compines and are upset that Getnextv.com is the BEST solution for our IPTV needs.

 

VUTV AND NEXTV !!!!! and what about italian programming??? And when in the hell are you going to update the webpage so we can all see what channels you offer??????

I am also very interested in getting my italian channels back!  Please advise as to when and what channels you will offer.
